Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine. Our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who were ill or old are restored to health and vigor. Those were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of the days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent; her eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly she begins to fly from the group, flying over the green grass, her wings carrying her faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hand again caresses her beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together . . .

There are many wonderful times and events in our home. There are also times of great loss. Our animals are treated as family members, and are very much loved. Each one is special in their own particular way. Some of them who have passed on have touched us in a special way that is important for us to share with others. As sad as it is to lose a family member, we are blessed to have the time together we did.
Say a prayer for me. I am lost without my Sunshine!

Hi Lisa,
I am sorry to hear about your beloved pet passing away.
((((hugs))))
On another note, you pink square is divine!
I am sorry for the loss of your pet. From the little I know about you I am sure she had a great life. Pets are so unconditional, if only human were.
I hope you are comforted my happy memories.
Love,
Chris Arlington
Lisa I am so sorry about your bird. My dog of 13 1/2 years passed on Saturday and I am just lost without her.
Someone said to me once...."boy people are more humane to animals than people sometimes" and I replied..."and sometimes animals are more loyal than humans"
Good one huh?
